THE IDEA

we wanted to make references to music, feminism, and our school, Crossroads.
Our school's symbol is an "X" that symbolizes its interdisciplinary nature, much like how this project unites music, design, and business.
We used "O" shaped designs to represent vinyls from which music is played.

The Story Behind This Tote Bag

This tote bag features a cross between a pink ribbon and a line of sheet music. The music is the beginning of Clara Schumann's Piano Concerto in A Minor Opus 7. We chose to honor her music because she was one of the pioneering female musicians in a time of gender inequalities. This is one of our softer, "girlier" designs to encourage aspiring female musicians to never give up on their dreams.
